Yingluck Saga Continues

Thailand’s Supreme Court on “Thursday, March 19” said former premier Yingluck Shinawatra will stand trial over rice subsidy program. The first hearing will be held on May 19. Yingluck was impeached and banned from politics for 5 years on Feb 19.

Though Yingluck is not accused of corruption herself in this case, the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division will now decide whether she was guilty of criminal negligence for not stopping the alleged graft in the program, which bought rice from farmers at above-market rates. If found guilty, Yingluck would face a maximum of 10 years in jail.

I was wondering why every case against Yingluck was on day 19 of the month. I am sure Prayuth asked his Fortune Teller and he told him ” This is Coup number 19” Let’s go for 19.

May 19, the day Yingluck’s trial begins has significance in Bangkok. It marks the fifth anniversary of a bloody army crackdown against demonstrators backing the Shinawatras who had occupied downtown Bangkok for two months. More than 90 people were killed in the protests

Let’s watch the making of pro-democracy icon and legend of Yingluck Shinawatra by Junta injustice and despicable tactics.
