The King and The Punk
Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the fifth dragon king of Bhutan
King of Bhutan told his fellow citizens in 2011, at his coronation speech : “Destiny has put me here. I will protect you as a parent, care for you as a brother and serve you as a son. I shall give you everything and keep nothing. This is how I shall serve you as king.
”When the King described Jetsun Pema, he said
“Now, many will have their own idea of what a Queen should be like – that she should be uniquely beautiful, intelligent and graceful. I think with experience and time, one can grow into a dynamic person in any walk of life with the right effort. For the Queen, what is most important is that at all times, as an individual she must be a good human being, and as Queen, she must be unwavering in her commitment to serve the People and Country. As my queen, I have found such a person and her name is Jetsun Pema. While she is young, she is warm and kind in heart and character. These qualities together with the wisdom that will come with age and experience will make her a great servant to the nation.”
Vajiralongkorn, King of Thailand
Vajiralongkorn was a huge disappointment to King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit. King Bhumibol restricted his money to stop him partying. That’s when Thaksin got so close to him by providing him with money and fancy cars.
Queen Sirikit said about her son: in 1982 ‘If the people of Thailand do not approve of the behavior of my son, then he would either have to change his behavior or resign from the royal family’
He wed his first cousin Soamsawali Kitiyakara in January 1977 and the couple had a daughter. But the marriage fell apart. Becuase the greedy Queen Sirikit wanted to keep it in her family.
Nine months after his daughter was born, the prince had a son with actress Yuvadhida Polpraserth who was 17 year old when they met, with whom he went on to have a total of five children.
He divorced Soamsawali in 1993. Three years later his relationship broke down with Yuvadhida as she fled to the UK in 1996, after a spectacular bust up. Accused her of adultery, she was forced to flee to the United Kingdom with their four children. They were stripped of their passports.
In 2014, the marriage collapsed. He stripped her of royal titles and a series of arrests for Srirasmi’s parents and close relatives. Her uncle, former Central Investigation Bureau chief Pongpat Chayapan, was charged with graft involving alleged extortion and oil smuggling as well as lèse-majesté. Meanwhile, her three brothers, Natthapol, Sitthisak, and Narong, and sister Sudathip were similarly accused of lèse-majesté.
She has been separated from her son Dipangkorn, who was sent to Munich and she has been given the title of Thanpuying and 200 million baht.
