RIP Lee Kuan Yew
Great man, Great leader, Great legacy. RIP Lee Kuan Yew. He was a true giant. He will be remembered for generations to come as the father of modern Singapore.
He helped Singapore to transition from a Third world country without having any natural resources to one of the world’s most prosperous nations, a financial powerhouse, one of the most developed in the world, one of the richest countries on the planet. Amazing man!
Lee Kuan Yew said in 2007 interview: he had seen himself in a never-ending struggle to overcome the nation’s lack of natural resources, a volatile ethnic mix of Chinese, Malays and Indians.“To understand Singapore and why it is what it is, you’ve got to start off with the fact that it’s not supposed to exist and cannot exist,” “To begin with, we don’t have the ingredients of a nation, the elementary factors: a homogeneous population, common language, common culture and common destiny. So, history is a long time. I’ve done my bit.”
Why Thailand! You have all kind of natural resources but you don’t have a leader like Lee Kuan Yew. He made a first class Nation, out of no Nation. RIP Lee Kuan Yew, “You done your bit”.
