Dimitrious Gargasoulas, 26, drove a stolen car along Bourke Street in Melbourne car rampage on Friday afternoon, hitting people on the packed sidewalk as they desperately ducked for cover. He had a history of drug abuse, violence and mental issues.
Four people died at the scene, and 37 were rushed to hospital. At least ten of them are still in a serious condition, and there are fears the the death toll could rise further. A three-month-old baby became the fifth victim to die from their injuries on Saturday.

A women who was mowed down by a rampaging car during her lunch break has become the sixth fatal victim of the Melbourne tragedy.
Bhavita Patel, 33, was among those hit by a driver who mounted the pavement and “deliberately” aimed for pedestrians. She was critically injured in the incident on January 20, and Bhavita’s family took the heartbreaking decision to turn off her life-support machine last night.
